I clearly felt that last week was indeed tiresome for me as I indulged a sleep overdose of 5 hours’ worth of siesta this Sunday afternoon. Right now, I feel all fresh, energized, and all ready to face the week ahead of me.

As I woke up after my siesta, I heard my younger sis Strawberry making a call. She was ordering something for takeout! Yayness! It turned out that she was ordering food from Tasty Dumplings for dinner. Double yay! Tasty Dumplings just happens to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Everything there is simply yummilicious, and the prices are just hard to beat!

When the food were finally picked up by my dad, I rushed to the dining table to prepare for dinner. Whee! The pork chops were mercilessly tempting me to pinch a little and eat, and the noodles smothered with kuchai ( this pickled green vegetable that is really tasty ) are just so droolworthy. I’ve posted pictures here, but please take note that I’m not a professional photographer, and I don’t know the first thing with photography! Please bear with me, and if ever you would have tips for me on how to improve my photo-taking abilities, you are most welcome.

Unopened Tasty Dumplings. Hmm…haunting!

Going back, we ordered porkchop noodles - a combo of porkchop, and noodles on the side. It’s very economical in the sense that when you order it as a take out, you eat the porkchop with rice, and the noodles will serve as your soup, and of course, more noodles to fill up your tummy. For 80 pesos ( or something like that ), it’s very well worth it, and I promise, that your tummy will sting a little because of fullness when you eat it all by yourself, so I suggest sharing. For a family of 7, we only order about 4 of those, and our tummies are already happily filled with that. The picture of the porkchop, is three porkchops already, and one porkchop is just huge, and flat. It’s the best tasting porkchop that I have ever tasted, and it has a unique sawsawan - Tasty’s special sauce, or more like special fish sauce. I love it, I love it, I love it!

The best tasting porkchops in the universe!

We also ordered dumplings which is of course, the specialty of Tasty Dumplings. They are also dipped in Tasty’s special sauce which tastes like fish sauce, but a better and yummier version. I’m fond of mixing the dumplings into the noodles soup, and I also love it when the noodles are mixed with kuchai. If you notice, all our plates and tazas are in plastic - mom wanted everything in the dinner table to be plastic ( except for the utensils, of course ), since we have small children here.

Tasty Dumplings. Bow.

It was such a fun dinner even if it was very simple. I noticed that whenever we order Tasty Dumplings, the dinner table is unusually quiet. Everyone is just enjoying the food, and busy finishing one’s plate! Hahaha! I think that my family is content with these simple pleasures in life - such as having a hearty dinner, and being with each other. I wonder what we’ll have next week. =)*P.S. Tasty Dumplings have several branches like in San Juan and Retiro QC. I don’t know if the Masangkay Branch is still open, but make time to check out the resto! Very worth the price =)

Hi Frutee! :) Just the thought of the crisp , thin, fried porkchops makes my tastebuds sizzle and scream! Hahaha! ( oh no, it’s midnight, and I don’t have anything to eat now, I’d just keep on dreaming :) )
