boracay island

I`m in my flow so I can find the fields of joy where life is peace where I can safely rest my soul

I’ve just browsed Yahoo Travels and found out that Boracay made it to the World’s Top 10 Beaches List, lookie lookie :

1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
2. Miami, Florida
3. Cancun, Mexico
4. Kaanapali, Hawaii
5. Honolulu, Hawaii
6. San Diego, California
7. Boracay Island, Philippines
8. Key West, Florida
9. Sydney, Australia
10. Santa Barbara, California

Oh yay! Well, I’ve always loved Boracay, and I fell in love with the place the moment I set foot on its white, powdery, sand that feels almost like baby powder. It is a perfect harmonious landscape of turquoise waters, crystal waves, breathtaking sunsets, and of course, gorgeous *ahem, joke!* people who are in their utmost relaxed state. Boracay is bliss. Boracay is the place where I go to heal my bruised soul.

Aside from the scenery of Boracay that takes your breath away, it’s more of the “vibe” of the place that makes it so endearing to alot of people. Once you are there in the island, everything is left behind – your work, your stress, your worries, your problems, and even your normal self. I feel that it is a whole new world in Boracay – a paradise that I won’t mind living in forever, as I also don’t mind kicking off my flip flops as I walk on its glorious fine sand. The idyllic life offered by Boracay is so enticing, that I am left with a horrible hangover everytime I leave it, as early as my arrival at the Kalibo airport. A few weeks after my vacation in Boracay, I still find myself lingering, and closing my eyes to feel the fresh wind, sand, and even visualize the clear waters of it. I struggle, struggle to keep Boracay in my mind as I play Boracay music in my media player – Pink Life by Gyskard , Ever After by Bonnie Bailey ( with her new Kingdom of Pretty track , ), Just the Way You Are By Milky, Kissing by Bliss , and even the romantic reggae Love Song by The Cure.

The nightlife is wonderful there as well. Nothing beats dining with the beach as your background, and as the stars shine down on you, you just sigh in content with the great grilled food that they serve there. After, drinks and music at Club Paraw is the best way to seal the night. You can dance all night long, or you could just sit on the sand all night long , just feeling, just feeling the place.

And oh, the memories of Boracay that never leave my mind. Great ones are absolute bonding with my girlfriends, those embarrassing booboo moments where everyone’s tummy aches from laughter, the great food, every good experience matched with a wonderful ambience that whispers love, and unforgettable. Ahh…love. Well, I oughta finish this paragraph with a period. Hehe. I think that’s worth another entry, if ever I want to talk about that. Too painful to talk about. =)

Boracay is everything my life is not right now. In my stressed state getting drowned in a pile of work and deadlines , God knows how I’m craving, craving to go to that place again. The sooner, the better. But the storm clouds, of course, are reigning supreme right now, that makes me forget my dream for now. When the sun shines again, when summer will give me a chance to heal my spirit, as I visit my heaven again.

Til we meet again.

boracay

Yours truly.

Hi! I just came across this page on your site and HAD to made a comment.

Uhmmmm… I’ve been to Myrtle Beach; Sydney; Kaanapali; Miami; and Key West. Seriously??? Myrtle Beach? I mean, I love South Carolina, having lived there for 4 years, but it can’t hold a candle to Sydney’s beaches. Definitely NOT to any Hawaiian beaches. Must’ve gotten a lot of South Carolinians to vote for this one.

Hope you make it back to Boracay! I hear it’s gorgeous.
