Why the weird title of the entry? Well, before I tell you my story of the day, I’d like to share the good news that my beauty blogging earned a feature in the Manila Bulletin’s Blog-o-Rama today! Whoopee! ![]() To view the full article, read it here (I scanned it, and Sarabeth patched them all together! Haha!) A web copy can be found here ![]() And another one, Teri of Beautiful Makeup Search emailed the Beauty Blog Network Yahoogroups to say that she saw my blog show up on Today’s Show on NBC Today! View the clip, and watch it here! Absolute yayness! Well, going back to how the heck needles came in the story, today, tons of needles pierced my skin! Today, I had to face that fear to get inside the Medical Laboratory to get my CBC, Bleeding Time and Clotting Time just in time for my tooth surgery this Saturday. ( like, how serious is that? Haha! ). I was so relieved that my sister Strawberry didn’t have classes that day that she was there beside me all the time the med-tech used a syringe to get blood samples from me and…gasp, used a lancet to prick one of my fingers to computer for my bleeding and clotting time. I was scared the hell, but I was glad it was finally over. Well, not quite. When I arrived at the dermatologist’s office, I was told that I had some inflammation on my face, that needed steroids to stop the flare-up. Guess what? Let’s just say that the syringe made its “piercing” way to my flare ups, as I winced in pain for each and every flare-up treated. So there you go, all the pain I can bear for the day. I was almost wiped out. Well, I’ve been a good girl, so I think the saying, ” at the end of the tunnel, there is light. ” was appropriate when my sister Strawberry told me that Ajay of Manila Bulletin’s Blog-o-Rama sms-ed me that the feature on my beauty blogging got published already. In that moment, all the pain from the punctures, and pricking seemed to go away, I went numb, then felt light, as I drifted to the clouds! And another thing - when I opened my email tonight, I was absolutely exhilirated and excited as Teri of Beautiful Makeup Search emailed the BBN Yahoogroups to say that she saw my blog flash on the screen on the Today’s Show segment featuring Cosmoprof. Aww, this is just too much! I’m just so glad that slowly, beauty blogs are getting recognized, and being respected for their honest, and well-thought of opinions. After all, beauty blogs are products of nothing, but passion, if not for oneself, but for others, to help. We beauty bloggers have this mission to beautify the world in our own way. One day at a time. =) So, are needles worth all of these? Wwweelll….maybe just the small needles, I can bear. =)
