shanghai

I love Shanghai.

Would you believe that it will only cost you PHP 8,417.00, roundtrip to Shanghai?

Thanks to Cebu Pacific, I will be able to go back to that wonderful place again, minus the heartbreaking price tag!

Just a few months ago, February to be exact, I was able to go to Shanghai to visit Kaths and Diana who travelled on a 12-hour train ride from Beijing to Shanghai to meet up. They studied in Beijing for six months, and they travelled to Shanghai just for us, and of course, enjoy all of China! ( such a lovely place, such a lovely place. :P ) It was a wondrous place, and the weather was oh-so-fine! The chilly atmosphere brought about the about-to-end winter there was wonderful, I just couldn’t forget the sudden chill Cristine and I felt as we got off the plane - that day, February 5, 2007, was the coldest day in Shanghai that year! We almost froze to death that night for everyone was on the lookout for taxis, and it took us two hours to find one! ( With me, almost a statue, with bonnets pulled down my head up to my eyebrows and ear muffs that made me look really weird ).

The term grappling just popped out of my head from the frustration that I’m having over my new 13″ Macbook. Good thing when I checked Dictionary.com, the word made sense,

to try to overcome or deal (usually fol. by with): to grapple with a problem ( ref : dictionary.com )

Even if my 4-day old Macbook is all its cutie goodness, with a very adorable pink case that I got from Amazon, I am still highly challenged, and frustrated because it is my first time, ever, to use a MAC! Somehow analogous to my 8-year old baby sister Sunshine who is the cutest baby, but can be a pain to deal with sometimes.

Sarabeth aka Sugar has been swooning over it all week. She wants one for herself ! She is tech geekier than I am, and I am just too proud to admit it! Hahaha!

The F9 key is heaven-sent, but I really really think that I should get a mouse. I am so lost. My friend Kaths says that the first time she used Diana’s Macbook, she wanted to throw it in the trashbin right then and there, but she eventually learned to love it. The learning curve is somewhat..flat, eh?

They assure me that sooner or later I would not live without a MAC. I don’t know. I can’t even install Photoshop CS from my CD.

Good thing I’m going to the office tomorrow to use my ever reliable PC to blog! For now, I couldn’t see myself letting go! ( Except for the Photo Booth, and F9! Haha! )
