I’m just a normal girl that spends my weekends if not at home, but with my best buds exercising our taste buds with food tripping, and watching movies together. On a Saturday night. But thinking that this would be my last free weekend with my monstrous schedule ahead, I decided to maximize it and well, do something different.

Come Friday night, my friends and I attended the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Phone Party as media (well, bloggers are media! ) . The newly unveiled 5310 was ultra thin, and very very oohlala-ish. I want one! In attendance were bloggers Sasha ( whose new hair color, I lurv ) and Rico, Abe, and Jayvee, as I was with my hot girl friends Roanne and Angel, with my “bodyguard” Mike. Oh, I missed this kind of clubbing music - no one was dancing, but it was great music since I saw someone playing the violin, reminds me of my favorite band, Bond. I actually enjoyed the party even if I drank a wee bit too much. End result? I get nauseated when I see bottles of wines and beers. No more drinking for now!

The following day, after work, I rushed to SM Mall of Asia’s IMAX Theatre to watch Beawulf in 3D with my best friend J and friend. It was my first time to watch in 3D, so I really enjoyed it. The movie was actually more of fictional and did not stick entirely with the epic poem that we studied way back in highschool, but I loved on how I would get scared of arrows that would actually be shooting towards me. The 3d effects were so awesome!

Spent the night at my bestfriend’s, and I actually felt that I’ve missed her for a long long time already. I mean, it was way back in highschool where we would see each other everyday, and last night, when I we were in J’s queen sized bed , we were talking in the dark about our secrets, feelings, and the precious girltalk that I’ve missed. These talks weren’t really brought up when we were eating out because we were always joking around and playing Sex and the City girls ranting and laughing about the way our lives have turned out to be, and well, I’m just so glad that our friendship lasted this long, and I’m sure that it is going to be stronger in time.

With the serenity and love that my best bud made me feel, I felt secure and well-loved for a moment. It certainly eased my restlessness, my frustrations, my cynicisms, and my heartbreaks . It was like a warm compress to such an ice cold heart. My tattered soul found some sentimental solace for a night as she tells me not to worry, I will be alright. I was actually amazed with the maturity she possessed when she talked about these stuff to me considering she was a year younger than me ( and acts like a child when she plays pranks on me that leaves me speechless ) , but hey, experience is the best teacher and I’m still considered juvenile in that subject matter as she is already progressing. She warns me, “Soph, believe me, I’ve done that.”

There comes a point in life wherein one just wants to be liberated from all the chains he/she has been bound to for the most part of his / her life. The feeling could be exhilirating, but it might be just fleeting. The ease, the light feeling could blow you away as opposed to the chains that kept you on the ground. It might be too much of an experience to be free that one would rather go back and chain himself , because it is what he/she has accustomed to be. After all, there might be too much dangers ahead in the road. Cowards, as they call people who act like that, but cowards still deserve to be respected for their act of self preservation.

Well, back to the real world. Deadlines, deadlines. I have missed them more than ever!
