A key signifies the our power of making decisions. Keys are used to open doors, trying to unlock something and revealing surprises and new stuff, and even locking some doors. One can always choose the doors he/she could open, because one is to be held responsible for whatever happens - be it good and bad. The key, the decision-making power of everyone, is a powerful tool that must be well thought of before doing it.

This year, I’ve used my “key” more than I have ever did in my entire life. This year was a big year of change for me as I used my key to open doors, experience new adventures, meet new people, expand my horizons, and tap into foreign territory. I’ve also admittedly used my key without thinking a few times that led my emotions to fluctuate and lead to regret. But hey, regrets are nightmares of the heart that are better let go of than clutched in the chest. So , better yet, experience, may it be good or bad, must be well-remembered. Good experience should be used to treasure and be a driving force to look forward and enjoy life, and bad experience should be lessons learned, as life is a teacher that teaches not from lectures beforehand, but after events occur.

The year 2007 was definitely a year of change, or maybe coming of age for me as I was able to experience alot of new stuff that I’ve never dreamed of.

I’ve read some wrap ups of 2007 in the internet, and I’m afraid I just can’t do it yet. Why? It’s because with the last few days of the year, this is the time wherein I’m making up for all my lost time when I worked instead of played, and stayed awake instead of slept. Yes, 2007 was a very stressful year for me, and I think I lacked sleep this year, and with the end of the year nearing, I’m still not getting enough. As of now, I don’t know if my brain’s fully functional now since my body clock’s just turned haywire last night. Hahaha!

Just before Christmas, all my engagements were canceled. Which left me and my music player together - simply a disastrous combo. Just after Christmas, everyone wants to go out. Crazy. But all’s well, I bet I’m going to end the year 2007 just fabulously with these last minute additions. I’m sure tomorrow would be one great memory to me. Pleaassee! ;)

Merry Merry Christmas to everyone! I can’t believe it’s Christmas already. It’s almost New Year, and well, people get older ! LOL! Things I should be thankful for are my loving family, good business, and true, true friends ( plus new ones! )

Lemme share with you a very cool video - Steven Tyler sings Santa Claus is Coming To Town from an episode of Lizzie Maguire. Yeah, watched it way back since my sisters loved watching Hilary Duff. Haha. And lately, my music player has been overplaying Aerosmith, and all I could ever hear is Steven Tyler’s voice - definitely the only rocker I’ll ever tolerate. Lurv his voice.

Hope everyone’s havin the time of their lives :)

A bad thing about me is that I collect planners - and I don’t write on them. Hahaha. Well, perhaps, I try to write on them for the first month or so, then keep them for good. This year’s been good to me, and I received a Starbucks Planner that I so love. Cristine promised to give me a Belle de Jour Planner, too. It’s planner county here baby! Hahaha! Well, well well! *wink*

Guess what came in today? A Sunlife Planner!

It was a month or so ago that I decided to invest in some Sunlife bonds ( that’s backed with insurance, I think ) to achieve some passive income in the long run. Ya know, I just can’t go overworking like this forever. My body has limits, too. I’m hoping that my money grows day by day to the point that I don’t have to work anymore. Hah. I want a hefty sum for my pension to make me travel all over the world!

It’s been a week or so since I blogged. Goodness, the Holiday fever just makes me so dizzy and sleepy. I want to sleep for a century after all the ordeal and sleepless nights I’ve been thru. Been working for three straight weekends already and this is my first weekend this Saturday that I’m not working - thank goodness! Now, I’m scouting for the best resto to indulge in fine dining again - believe me, I deserve it! I think I might just gobble a whole buffet table in no time. It’s the Holidays, worry about my weight later. Haha. Probably gonna punish myself after the Holidays, anyway, with work and exercise.

Anyway, a package just came in for me awhile ago, and I remember that I ordered this from L way back,

It’s called Liver Detox ( I don’t like missing out on the vowels *wink* ). L tells me it would help improve my skin complexion, and guess what. The back part of the box, well, take a look too :

5 is such a strange number. Ancients say it’s a sacred number, but my tarot cards say it’s a number of tribulation. Check this out. Intriguing, huh! Anyway, steering away from my nerdy vibes, I’ve managed to answer Sasha’s Blog Meme about 5 things :

5 Things Found In My Bag

First , let me just say that #1 takes a big bulk of my bag space. :P

1. A Makeup Purse
2. My Mobile Phone
3. My Volet (wallet)
4. My Camera - if I’m not too lazy
5. A Pen. ( Security reasons , hahaha! Yes, the pen is mighter than the sword, I swear! )

5 Things Found In My Wallet

1. Calling Cards
2. Driver’s License - which I only flash for identification ( teehee )
3. Credit Cards and Cash ( just a little!)
4. A Lucky Charm ( hehehe superstitious me )
5. Receipts

Hi, my name is Sophie. I am a Marimar addict.

I used to ignore Channel 7 and rest my loyalty to the best local channel in the country, Channel 2, until Marimar. Marian Rivera is my ultimate girlcrush and idol, and if ever I would want to undergo plastic surgery, I would want to look exactly like her - the angelic face, the curvy figure, don’t forget the waistline!

Yes, I cry buckets whenever Sergio breaks Marimar’s heart, and I screech with kilig when they have their “moments.”

I also happen to hate Innocencia, the ultimate traitor bestfriend of Marimar, who has her self interests in the front seat as she competes for Sergio’s attention and love. Well, it’s no competition after all, because Sergio’s chasing Marimar, and Innocencia’s chasing Sergio. Who’s chasing Innocencia? Nobody ( sounds familiar? I used My Best Friend’s Wedding’s script hehe )

My loathe for Rodolfo San Gines ( or Inis, as they say ) is sky high that I want him thrown in the nearest Lion’s den. Boy, the lions must be hungry, that I hope he’d do. Baka ibalik, e. Hahaha

Whatelse? Hmm..I’ve got too much to tell! I think I might be brewing something up from this addiction. Haha!

It’s the time of the year again when love is in the air. Oops, that didn’t sound right - it’s not Valentines! I mean, when people are cramming to shop for presents for friends, family, and loved ones to show them that they have taken some effort to remember them during the Holidays, when everything’s so jolly, everyone’s celebrating, and it’s always an excuse to smile even if you’re too sleepy to. Haha!

Well, with Phoebe and Roanne’s idea for coming up with their wishlist, here’s mine. I’m setting up several wishlists for my niche blogs, but here’s a mix of what I really want this Christmas. For my dear, dear, gorgeous friends who happen to read this, I think I just took some load off your back by telling you what I really really want!

1. Books. Itching to read Philip Pullman’s controversial trilogy of His Dark Materials - The Golden Compass<, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass ( such a sucker for theology, philosophy, and controversial stuff ) Or maybe, Stardust by Neil Gaiman since C mentioned to me that it was a very good read. Nice to cuddle with a book during this cold cold weather. It’s my favorite past time during Christmas break.

2. Beauty products - my friends actually find it hard to shop beauty products for me because they are scared that I might have that certain item already since I pretty much binge shop on beauty products. Well, on my wishlist, on items that are available locally :
I’d love a spa treatment, a new haircut from Razzle Dazzle ( still not satisfied with my ‘do, want it to take it all the way with a screaming bob ), or anything mineral makeup. Teehee. <--thanks R for offering to give me an Artdeco Primer! Woohoo!

It’s been long overdue, and I’m horribly incoherent on this. Forgive me. Too much thoughts swimming in my head, I better let this out ;)

The weekend was great. Never moved so much. Hahaha!

Thursday

Was about to attend the B5Media Dinner but for security reasons, my folks held me under house arrest. I had a bad feeling that if I defied them,I will be in trouble with my heart beating badly. So there, I didn’t push thru. Binge ate Jollibee as always ( yum, for their palabok ), and enjoyed the chilly weather.

Gorgeous lady bloggers *whistles*+ me

Friday
Attended the Blogger Mixer at Kape Isla , Serendra, and brought along my crazy buds Roanne and Phoebe with me. It was fun meeting new people, seeing old friends, and talking about - yes, makeup! The highlight of the party was of course the lovely and fashionable Shai Coggins, who is ultra successful and inspiring. Lurv her accent. Obsessed with her accent! Sasha made me feel that I must do some dieting with her effortless chic ensemble ( I wanna fit in those socks, girl! ) . I think I had a bad case of coffee overdose ( see, I’m really orally fixated, I’m damned ) that I wasn’t able to sleep until the wee hours of the morning! Was on the phone with R, and it was fun hearing her flirty and tipsy voice during such ungodly hours. The things we do after work! Haha!
