Dear Marimar,

My day was at its worst today as I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. To top it off, a friend of mine just won’t listen to me as I try to talk some sense into her. Muy frustrating. I was swamped with work, and I was in low spirits today as well, I might be PMS-ing. Could anything go worse today?

NOT! Because I’m pretty, pretty sure, that you made my day ( night, that is, ) because of this!

When I received an invite for the Sunsilk Press Launch, I immediately said yes for I was impressed with the Life Can’t Wait Campaign. It inspired me to be a go getter, not wait any moment further, and well, spoil my hair even more! When C told me that you were gonna be there, being a HUGE Marian Rivera slash Marimar fan , who stays home every night just to watch every single episode, I knew I needed to be there to see you in the flesh!

The night was fun as I met new beauty bloggers from Baklitaan, and met up with my friends Phoebe, Sasha, Rico, and Jayvee. We literally had to practice self defense as photographers kept on pushing each other to get a good shot of you, and well, your fans, Phoebe and I , also armed with DSLRs, won’t give up the fight! Look, I managed to get a good shot! Whoopee!

And I mean seriously, when I saw you in the flesh, I could almost faint - my idol, my idol, just a few inches away from me! You are more beautiful in person, I swear!

With the collective efforts of the Sunsilk team ( nyahahaha ) C, J , and bestbud J managed to give me a chance to talk to you and take a picture with you. I could almost not believe when I finally got a chance to talk to you! I told you, ” I missed tonight’s episode of Marimar tonight just to see you!”, and you said, “Ay maganda ang episode tonight!”. Well, my mouth just wouldn’t shut up as I continued, “I’m a HUGE fan, I know your lines! One goes, ” Kung ang kakambal ng..” as during that moment , I suddenly developed a stupid case of amnesia. But no! You encouraged me further, “Go! Kaya mo yan, with matching feelings pa!”. I finally, well, gave in, and said, “Kung ang kakambal ng pagmamahal mo ay ang masaktan ako, tatanggapin ko Sergio!” as you laughed in glee and said, “Oy magandang line yan!”

God, my self actualization needs are so complete! I’m so gonna print and frame this picture for a few years from now, you are so going to be the Box Office Queen, and you’ll be such a big star that I would only be proud to have taken a picture from you from your Marimar days!

I’m still floating in the air as of typing this entry as I am starting to sound like an obsessed fan. Haha! But really, thank you, for making me feel that I just received good karma tonight!

Good luck, and please do make more telenovelas and movies! I owe you because I haven’t watched BF-GF yet. But I really will!
