March 19, 2008

My weekend was pretty interesting, and armed with my Nikon D40x, and 50mm prime lens ( which means MTD ( manual to death, as per Phoebe ) ), I pretty much took pictures of everything I saw. Well, that’s a sickness of mine when I’m wild about stuff.

First, I was dropped off at Rockwell , with a big overnight bag that hindered me from walking around, all free, to shop to my heart’s fancy. But then, I proved that it wasn’t much of a hindrance of all because I was able to snag this really, really gorgeous pair of shoes that I’ve been lemming for so long ( I think twas since last year! ). Unboxing it, it’s just a total beauty and I’m in love. My wallet, on the other hand, I feel, hates me now.

They’re jelly so they reflect. Had a hard time capturing it. Next time, next time!

Next, bestbud A finally finished her class for the day as we met at National Bookstore, and we grabbed some yummy crepes at Crepes and Creme.

I had Mango something..totally forgot haha! It was yummy!

and she had Pistachio ;)

As A’s really really nice folks fetched us, it was the start of the ultimate roadtrip to the South! Did some shopping ( don’t want to talk about it anymore, I’m so darn guilty ), ate some dinner, and went home and found this cute little baby Kimmie greeting us hello! Kimmie’s so sweet, and smart that she was staring at me intently as I was taking pictures of some stuff in the room, and finally, she just posed in front of me! My primes needed to be a little bit further from her but she keeps on moving in front of my camera for a shot! How cute!

Hello, sweet Kimmie! ( not in picture : Bruzey Woozey, he was moving too fast and my powers were not enough to capture him using manual focus! )

I also got to stalk someone’s bedroom, who is a Tigger addict, and a total stuff toy lover ;)

Life size Tigger beside a stack of notes. The owner of this room just studies too hard ;)

her minions

more love ;)

Hakuna Matata?

I have this feeling that these toys could come alive

maybe the room’s owner’s a child at heart, too!

Bestbud A and I talked until we could not anymore, and drifted to a blissful sleep as the night was spent on telling each other our thoughts and reflections about life, love, and our future.

The morning after….

We ate lunch at the Ayala Alabang Country Club, and was stunned with how much people there were watching the Pacquiao fight! The shot I took was just one of two really big screens that showed the Pacquiao fight. People were standing, shouting, cheering on, it was defeaning. Ahhh, Filipino spirit!

I could swear the crowd just roared when they announced Pacquiao as the winner!

Ythought the day’s over? Not quite. From south, we headed north to Celebrity Sports Plaza for A’s basketball game!

I was wanting to jump in and just swimmmm!!!! twas scorching hot!

I was wearing a blue top, plus sporting this blue nail polish to cheer for A’s team ( well, just quite coincidentally )

One big fight!

There, that’s all I could exert for a two days’ worth of bonding with A and intense shopping which will force me to save up and scrimp for the next month.

Sa uulitin A! Mwah!
