Turning a year old is not a joke. I’ve dreaded crossing over, growing older, or just progressing. I want to be a kid forever. But as if I had a choice! I’m glad that people who love me have been comforting me in the fact that it does not really suck to turn a year older, as they celebrated it with me!

After the MAC Bridal Makeup Class, J , S and I headed for Green Tomato to get some merienda before dinner. I was able to eat my favorite dish there , after a whole year, since I don’t frequent Shang alot. Green Tomato’s so affordable, and their dishes are so gooood!!! Oh my mozarella toast, I love you!!!

P was supposed to surprise me, but my really whacked up schedule ruined it. But then, everything seemed to fall into place! We ended up having dinner at my favorite resto, California Pizza Kitchen, and I had the chance to order my favorite pasta dish of all time, Tomato Basil Spaghettini!

The day after, my barkada had my birthday dinner at New Orleans in Bonifacio High Street as we feasted on their exquisite steak. J didn’t quite appreciate the tri-pepper sauce that I was raving about, but loved the steak nonetheless. For me, the winner was still the 6-layered nachos! Haha!

C surprised me with two slices of cake from Secret Recipe - and I found the cheesecake to be absolutely wonderful! The crust was definitely above its competition - was it rice crispies? They were so crunchy and delightful!

Where have you been all my life, Mr. Cheesecake from Secret Recipe?!

The chocolate cake’s not bad either!

The next day, my family and I had our lunch, and they sang a happy birthday song for me. Nothing beats being with your family on a lazy Sunday lunch. The most comforting cake that I came home for - is my ever-favorite, Red Ribbon Chocolate Mousse.

Wouldn’t hurt to gain a few pounds in the next few days, ‘no?
