![]() This is T’s baby sister D’s favorite part of our Singapore adventure- eating ice cream – “bareta” ( Tagalog term for “bar” ) ice cream, as she fondly calls it. The street ice cream there is pretty great. Bars of Magnolia ice cream cut, either served with wafer ( just like in the picture ) or bread for one Singaporean dollar is not cheap, but is a gratifying treat after lunch or dinner. ![]() I was able to take small bites from D and T because I could not finish a bar – my teeth were sensitive and I’m not really an ice cream person, but I was able to find out that Magnolia ice cream is very very different there in Singapore – the ice cream is not too creamy, and not to sweet – in fact, it tasted really light and refreshing. It didn’t make me crave for water from a sugar overload. Next time I go back to Singapore, I’m definitely going to attempt to finish one bar!
