Dear Marimar,

My day was at its worst today as I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. To top it off, a friend of mine just won’t listen to me as I try to talk some sense into her. Muy frustrating. I was swamped with work, and I was in low spirits today as well, I might be PMS-ing. Could anything go worse today?

NOT! Because I’m pretty, pretty sure, that you made my day ( night, that is, ) because of this!

When I received an invite for the Sunsilk Press Launch, I immediately said yes for I was impressed with the Life Can’t Wait Campaign. It inspired me to be a go getter, not wait any moment further, and well, spoil my hair even more! When C told me that you were gonna be there, being a HUGE Marian Rivera slash Marimar fan , who stays home every night just to watch every single episode, I knew I needed to be there to see you in the flesh!

As a self-conscious big time photo criticizer (only to myself okay), for once in my life, I do not care if this is one of my unflattering shots, because it doesn’t happen everyday that I would have this chance of having a picture taken with my absolut house music idol, Moony!

I started liking Moony’s music way back in college , and I first heard her song from the music player of my boss ( from my OJT days). My favorite song that she sang would probably be Dove, but just lately, she released a new track called “For Your Love,” which I absolutely love, and is LSS ( last song syndrome ) material.

Last night ( Saturday ), during the CLEAR Black Parade Black Valentine’s Concert, she was able to sing For Your Love, Point of View, Dove ( twice ), Acrobats ( twice, ) and other songs, and even sang acapella (someone correct my spelling )! I was absolutely thrilled to listen to her song For Your Love ( considering I’ve been playing it nonstop for two weeks ). I have observed that half of the crowd were just standing and appreciating Moony’s strong, amazing voice, but half of the crowd were dancing, and fully enjoying themselves, including me ( well, I swayed, okay ! ) Read the rest of this entry »

Bestbud J has always been raving about Kimpura as one of her favorite Japanese resto’s, and tonight, just before watching dinner, we decided to try it out.

Blame it on the impossible parking slots in Greenhills during weekends, that my heels and feet were harassed in great deal as my bestbuds and I had a long, long walk to the promised gastronomic destination. When we arrived , now I understood that my energy exerted to walk there was so worth it - we were eating real, real good food.

As we entered the restaurant, the ambience was really posh, and I loved the place. Well, enough of the red chairs and impressive teppanyaki tables, let’s get on with the dishes.

I never had anything happen so fast
I took one look and I shattered like glass
I guess I let it show ’cause your smile told me you knew
That you’re everything I ever wanted at once
There’s no holding this heart when it knows what it wants
And I never wanted anything more than to know you

I was swept away….no one in the world but you and I, gotta find a way, to make you feel the way that I do…

Ahhh, the magic of love at first sight. It might come off as something unlikely to happen nowadays, but I still believe that there is such a thing as love at first sight. Christopher Cross came up with this song, so someone in the world could actually think this way. This leaves me with hope that my love at first sight moment would be as magical as this one. With one look, you just know. You are sure that the person in front of you is the one you would want for the rest of your life.

Sigh.

My life is a love song. I guess everyone’s is, too. And everyday, I would always hum a different tune that would fit my mood over, and over, again.

Someone greeted me, “Happy February 1st, it’s the love month! ” ( right? ) and to my dismay, yeah, I remembered February was indeed the love month. Everyone’s all giddy, excited, or even depressed with the idea.

I started a challenge with my bestbud to post our songs of the day for the 28 day duration of this month. Hopefully, this would bring in good vibes, as I try to post love songs that are more on the positive and happy side. Hahaha!

On we go!

For those who’d want to take the challenge, I encourage you to do so! There’s always a new love song to sing everyday!

A key signifies the our power of making decisions. Keys are used to open doors, trying to unlock something and revealing surprises and new stuff, and even locking some doors. One can always choose the doors he/she could open, because one is to be held responsible for whatever happens - be it good and bad. The key, the decision-making power of everyone, is a powerful tool that must be well thought of before doing it.

This year, I’ve used my “key” more than I have ever did in my entire life. This year was a big year of change for me as I used my key to open doors, experience new adventures, meet new people, expand my horizons, and tap into foreign territory. I’ve also admittedly used my key without thinking a few times that led my emotions to fluctuate and lead to regret. But hey, regrets are nightmares of the heart that are better let go of than clutched in the chest. So , better yet, experience, may it be good or bad, must be well-remembered. Good experience should be used to treasure and be a driving force to look forward and enjoy life, and bad experience should be lessons learned, as life is a teacher that teaches not from lectures beforehand, but after events occur.

The year 2007 was definitely a year of change, or maybe coming of age for me as I was able to experience alot of new stuff that I’ve never dreamed of.

It’s been long overdue, and I’m horribly incoherent on this. Forgive me. Too much thoughts swimming in my head, I better let this out ;)

The weekend was great. Never moved so much. Hahaha!

Thursday

Was about to attend the B5Media Dinner but for security reasons, my folks held me under house arrest. I had a bad feeling that if I defied them,I will be in trouble with my heart beating badly. So there, I didn’t push thru. Binge ate Jollibee as always ( yum, for their palabok ), and enjoyed the chilly weather.

Gorgeous lady bloggers *whistles*+ me

Friday
Attended the Blogger Mixer at Kape Isla , Serendra, and brought along my crazy buds Roanne and Phoebe with me. It was fun meeting new people, seeing old friends, and talking about - yes, makeup! The highlight of the party was of course the lovely and fashionable Shai Coggins, who is ultra successful and inspiring. Lurv her accent. Obsessed with her accent! Sasha made me feel that I must do some dieting with her effortless chic ensemble ( I wanna fit in those socks, girl! ) . I think I had a bad case of coffee overdose ( see, I’m really orally fixated, I’m damned ) that I wasn’t able to sleep until the wee hours of the morning! Was on the phone with R, and it was fun hearing her flirty and tipsy voice during such ungodly hours. The things we do after work! Haha!

I’m just a normal girl that spends my weekends if not at home, but with my best buds exercising our taste buds with food tripping, and watching movies together. On a Saturday night. But thinking that this would be my last free weekend with my monstrous schedule ahead, I decided to maximize it and well, do something different.

Come Friday night, my friends and I attended the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Phone Party as media (well, bloggers are media! ) . The newly unveiled 5310 was ultra thin, and very very oohlala-ish. I want one! In attendance were bloggers Sasha ( whose new hair color, I lurv ) and Rico, Abe, and Jayvee, as I was with my hot girl friends Roanne and Angel, with my “bodyguard” Mike. Oh, I missed this kind of clubbing music - no one was dancing, but it was great music since I saw someone playing the violin, reminds me of my favorite band, Bond. I actually enjoyed the party even if I drank a wee bit too much. End result? I get nauseated when I see bottles of wines and beers. No more drinking for now!

This week was the most tiring week, ever. The SEMCON was such a success, and maybe a little bit too much of an information overload that it left a hole in my brain for days. I’d be talking about my great experience from it in another post, but let me blog about what I did today , as my memory is still fresh from it and I’d love to immortalize it and keep this memory.

After a quite tiring makeover session for my reseller, I had my dad drop me off to Rockwell to meet with my bestbuds, to grab a quick dinner before going to the Araneta Coliseum to watch Babyface , live in Manila. My bestbud J scored us free tickets, as she always gets free stuff for us like movie passes, products, and even discounts, but the catch was, it was 2 tickets in the patron area and 2 tickets in the Upper A area. Bestbud M asked me what seat I wanted, and since I knew M was such a senti fan, I told her that I was fine with an Upper A seat with Bestbud K. We bought food from Tokyo Tokyo , and ate hurriedly in the dark, and moving vehicle that we were in. ( Such a great meal! haha! )
