Just sharing one of the most beautiful song’s I’ve ever heard.

No More I Love You’s by Annie Lennox

I used to be lunatic from the gracious days
I used to be woebegone and so restless nights
My aching heart would bleed for you to see
Oh but now…
(I don’t find myself bouncing round whistling
and fortunes to make me cry)
No more “I love you’s”
The language is leaving me
No more “I love you’s”
Changes are shifting outside the word
(The lover speaks about the monsters)
I used to have demons in my room at night
Desire,despair,desire,so many monsters
Oh but now…
(I don’t find myself bouncing round whistling
and fortunes to make me cry)

Today’s a good day as I hear really, really good news! David Cook wins American Idol! Wooo!

Regrets, regrets for I haven’t followed American Idol this season.

David Cook’s voice is phenomenal, his style nothing close to ordinary.

I’d actually pay to watch this guy sing live.

Watch this guy go big. Make crowds roar. Make hearts flutter.

He is so far the only American Idol winner that I actually like ! Hahaha!

Congratulations to my bet, David Cook!

Last night, I attended the Blue Water Day Spa event which showcased new spa treatments, and launched their new endorsers Piolo Pascual and Marian Rivera. One particular thing piqued my interest that night - as I watched the audiovisual presentation of the ad of the two stars for the spa, my ears just were enchanted with the background music - as I listened intently on the lyrics, I figured the title of the song was, “Slow Me Down,”.

Well, I was correct! I looked it up on Youtube, here’s a video of Emmy Rossum’s song,

The lyrics is quite fitting - specially for me. Read the rest of this entry »

As a self-conscious big time photo criticizer (only to myself okay), for once in my life, I do not care if this is one of my unflattering shots, because it doesn’t happen everyday that I would have this chance of having a picture taken with my absolut house music idol, Moony!

I started liking Moony’s music way back in college , and I first heard her song from the music player of my boss ( from my OJT days). My favorite song that she sang would probably be Dove, but just lately, she released a new track called “For Your Love,” which I absolutely love, and is LSS ( last song syndrome ) material.

Last night ( Saturday ), during the CLEAR Black Parade Black Valentine’s Concert, she was able to sing For Your Love, Point of View, Dove ( twice ), Acrobats ( twice, ) and other songs, and even sang acapella (someone correct my spelling )! I was absolutely thrilled to listen to her song For Your Love ( considering I’ve been playing it nonstop for two weeks ). I have observed that half of the crowd were just standing and appreciating Moony’s strong, amazing voice, but half of the crowd were dancing, and fully enjoying themselves, including me ( well, I swayed, okay ! ) Read the rest of this entry »

Amidst all the goodness in our lives, great things happenings to us - our careers, friends, family, businesses, we just can’t help but find something missing - love.

Although we tell ourselves that it should be the last thing on our minds to ponder about, sometimes, some idle time makes us reflect that somehow, our perspective with regards to the world would be a whole lot different if there were someone in our lives to enrich us with their love.

erm I remember singing this during one of our videoke sessions of our block way back in college. Someone said, “Sophie, I didn’t know you could sing!” , well that was because I was singing the tolerable notes, and as I aimed for higher, someone said, “ay hindi na niya kaya.” Hahahahaha!

All the Love in the World by The Corrs
I’m not looking for someone to talk to
I’ve got my friends, I’m more than okay
I’ve got more than a girl could wish for
I live my dreams, but it’s not all they say

I know, I’m so so far behind! So much to do right now, but first, it’s Kong Xi Fa Tsai to all of you! Happy Happy Chinese New Year!

I just find it funny that Charms and Crystals refused to give me a love charm and asked me to focus on my health instead. Hahahahaha! Anyway, let’s all be healthy, fellow pigs!

Before I start, let me just relate that I’ve been dwelling on old love songs in the past, and I find them soothing. But as I see myself aging, I just, well, wanted to feel young, thus, finding my solace in house and chillout music feels great. Definitely no pop for me. :)

For my next love song, well it’s called For Your Love by Moony. ( MOONY!!!!! I’m seeing ya next weeek!!!! ) If you read upon the lyrics without listening to the music itself, you’d feel that it’s sappy, when it’s actually not. This house track is fantastic that I just can’t unplug my earphones, as I play it over and over again.

I imagine myself at the beach , lounging in my coverup, wearing my shades, with this song as my background music. Muy glamourous. It feels like a song about mad, crazy love, though it doesn’t give a very serious tone to it, that makes it a little bit less depressing. Well, even dance tracks have emotions bursting from them, too!

For your love, I’d do anything, just about anything. ( what the…? )

For Your Love
Weak, alone and in my messy world
Something’s missing
From this suddenly I freeze my heart
But I cant stop this feeling
That is screaming
That is screaming inside my soul
So I search and Im searchin

Well, before I proceed, a good friend told me that too much poetry is unhealthy and consulting love songs can sometimes be too unhealthy. Perhaps it would send me to the world of illusion, perhaps it would keep me off the ground and dream on. But then, just for this month, I’d like to feel that way. After that, I can go hardcore bitter again. Kidding!

This song, is cheesy, I admit. But then, if someone would sing this to me, I won’t mind. It explains the unbelievable feeling of falling in love. “Am I exactly with you?” Sometimes too much good things happen to us that we can’t believe it’s happening. Too surreal perhaps?

Never Thought

Can I touch you?
I can’t believe that you are real
How did I ever find you?
You are the dream that saved my life
You are the reason I survived
Baby…

Painfully reminiscent of the movie “City of Angels”, it puts love on a higher pedestal, as something worth giving up for, even if it costs someone an eternity, or falling from grace.

One of my favorite thoughts about love is that it is such a rare gem, for alot of people would exchange an eternity’s worth of suffering for a few moment’s worth of feeling such bliss. From love. Love fills the soul with such completeness that some things just don’t matter anymore.

Iris
And I’d give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be
And I don’t want to go home right now

For Day 2 of the love song challenge ( I’m actually behind by two entries, drat ), I choose to feature Linger by the Cranberries.

Goodness, who would ever forget this? After watching the movie Click, I would sing it over, and over again. It’s actually an old song ( way back in the 90s ) by the Cranberries, and it seems to me that the song is about being a slave to love. Slave in the sense that you are rendered powerless, and no matter how much you were wronged by someone you love, you choose to oversee it, or even forget, the moment he holds your hand.

The word “linger” has a romantic appeal to it, so it seems. It’s letting time pass you by as you dwell on the euphoric feelings of love, prolong it as much as you can feel the bliss.

Who wouldn’t want to linger on romance? Doesn’t happen alot, so feel it while it’s still there.

I never had anything happen so fast
I took one look and I shattered like glass
I guess I let it show ’cause your smile told me you knew
That you’re everything I ever wanted at once
There’s no holding this heart when it knows what it wants
And I never wanted anything more than to know you

I was swept away….no one in the world but you and I, gotta find a way, to make you feel the way that I do…

Ahhh, the magic of love at first sight. It might come off as something unlikely to happen nowadays, but I still believe that there is such a thing as love at first sight. Christopher Cross came up with this song, so someone in the world could actually think this way. This leaves me with hope that my love at first sight moment would be as magical as this one. With one look, you just know. You are sure that the person in front of you is the one you would want for the rest of your life.

Sigh.
