When pleasant surprises happen in your life, your heart just skips a beat, as your lips finally twitch into a smile, thanking the heavens for the great fortune it has bestowed upon you. Been a good girl perhaps? Life is good. But when it is the opposite, it’s rather different.

It’s like a nightmare that you just can’t escape from, as you tirelessly shake your head with the hopes of waking up, as you realize that there is indeed blood drawn as you try to hurt yourself awake. What have you done to deserve such? You check. Turns out all your life, you’ve put other people’s welfare before yours, and now, even those memories won’t help you justify why you shouldn’t be the one wanting to run away. Far, far away.

It is such a sad picture for someone to get disillusioned with the way things are as he/she has always trusted one part of the world to be constantly right. The world could be a circus full of harsh elements that can do nothing but harm one’s soul, but that one safety place, one last haven, when lost, kills someone slowly day by day.

He/she has nowhere to hide, nowhere to cry, nowhere to rest anymore. No more peace.

The soul once whole, has now a hole that flaws the entire meaning of its existence. The view of the world’s already dented. Irreparable.

This someone needs to sleep. For a long, long time. Maybe when she/he finally wakes up, the nightmare would be all over.

I’m just a normal girl that spends my weekends if not at home, but with my best buds exercising our taste buds with food tripping, and watching movies together. On a Saturday night. But thinking that this would be my last free weekend with my monstrous schedule ahead, I decided to maximize it and well, do something different.

Come Friday night, my friends and I attended the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Phone Party as media (well, bloggers are media! ) . The newly unveiled 5310 was ultra thin, and very very oohlala-ish. I want one! In attendance were bloggers Sasha ( whose new hair color, I lurv ) and Rico, Abe, and Jayvee, as I was with my hot girl friends Roanne and Angel, with my “bodyguard” Mike. Oh, I missed this kind of clubbing music - no one was dancing, but it was great music since I saw someone playing the violin, reminds me of my favorite band, Bond. I actually enjoyed the party even if I drank a wee bit too much. End result? I get nauseated when I see bottles of wines and beers. No more drinking for now!

I fondly remember, it was my first year in highschool when I first became addicted to the Spice Girls, a group that not only sang catchy songs, but also gave off the girl power vibes. I would cut out their pictures from pop magazines, as my other classmates would cut off Backstreet Boys , Nysnc or pictures of The Moffats. It saddened me that this group was disbanded because of personal issues. ( Oh well, cest lavie. ). My favorite was Sporty Spice, to be followed by Posh Spice, Baby Spice and Scary Spice.

I’m happy again to see a video of them all together with their beautiful voices fused together once again in the name of music with the song Headlines ( Friendship Never Ends ), even if they don’t go along well. Despite their personal differences, I appreciate that they were able to still make beautiful music. Love the harmony of their voices, but as for the video, well, it seemed like it is too wild for me ;) The costumes are too….*smiles*

I think I’ve found the perfect voice that I would want to own if given the chance. I can’t sing, but I am a great lover of music. Well, who’s the lucky girl? It’s Sarah Bareilles.

I’m so obsessed with Sara Bareilles‘ music. Her voice enchantingly starts with low-key, and she sings her high tunes beautifully. Her voice is firm, and beautifully melancholic. In other words - I am addicted to her voice. It must be one of the beautiful voices that I’ve ever heard in my life - not in a totally aesthetic sense, but there is something about her voice that makes you feel that her voice understands and is in one with her emotions . Her voice also engages the listener to relate and feel the song- a direct stab to the heart. Her lyrics, which are self-written are also stellar, that she was able to capture the human emotion just perfectly, specially in matters of the heart. I could just listen to her two songs forever - Gravity and Between The Lines. I have been playing these songs in my mp3 player for weeks already , and it just makes me feel over and over again.

My favorite part in the song Gravity, Read the rest of this entry »

When I heard this song, I just stopped, in disbelief, that there was such a song that perfectly captures my emotions as of the moment. Incredible.

“Fools Like Me”

Everybody go
The party’s over
I want to be alone in my head
In my bed tonight
You never show
