Today’s a good day as I hear really, really good news! David Cook wins American Idol! Wooo!

Regrets, regrets for I haven’t followed American Idol this season.

David Cook‘s voice is phenomenal, his style nothing close to ordinary.

I’d actually pay to watch this guy sing live.

Watch this guy go big. Make crowds roar. Make hearts flutter.

He is so far the only American Idol winner that I actually like ! Hahaha!

Dear Marimar,

My day was at its worst today as I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. To top it off, a friend of mine just won’t listen to me as I try to talk some sense into her. Muy frustrating. I was swamped with work, and I was in low spirits today as well, I might be PMS-ing. Could anything go worse today?

NOT! Because I’m pretty, pretty sure, that you made my day ( night, that is, ) because of this!

When I received an invite for the Sunsilk Press Launch, I immediately said yes for I was impressed with the Life Can’t Wait Campaign. It inspired me to be a go getter, not wait any moment further, and well, spoil my hair even more! When C told me that you were gonna be there, being a HUGE Marian Rivera slash Marimar fan , who stays home every night just to watch every single episode, I knew I needed to be there to see you in the flesh!

Darnit, I love Marimar. I love Sergio. I love Marian Rivera. I love Dingdong Dantes.

This is one of those episodes again that made me cry.

Sergio tignan mo ko, ayaw mo ba kong maging masaya? Sergio, kung ang kakambal ng pagmamahal mo ang ay ang masaktan ako, sige tatanggapin ko yon. Sergio saktan mo nalang ako mas gugustuhin ko yon kaysa sa di mo ko mahalin dahil mahal kita, Sergio mahal na mahal na mahal kita , mahal kita Sergio mahal na mahal kita d ko kaya, mahal kita sabihin mo sakin.

Okay, I’m officially in tears again. Hahaha. Goodness embarrassing.

Well, let me first say that this must be crazy weather. My psychic has told me that I would be very fulfilled this season, but I had no idea that I would be going through alot and I mean ALOT to deserve the fulfillment as it hits December 25th. Haha.

First, the good stuff. I am so addicted to Marimar! I promised myself that I wouldn’t watch or even dare switch the channel to Channel 7 ( I literally ban people who come in my room from watching local TV on Sundays because variety shows make me so irritable, vibes just don’t mix ), but lately, when the clock turns 9, even when I’m still in the office, I open the TV and watch Marimar ! God, Marian Rivera is just SO BEAUTIFUL. Whenever I’d watch her, I just couldn’t believe how beautiful she is, and I am so envious of her figure. Well, we can call her my girlcrush! The storyline’s very exciting too, and I find myself screeching with “kilig” , just because Dingdong Dantes ( whom, I think , really improved immensely and became even more gorgeous this time ) and Marian Rivera just have sizzling hot chemistry. And I mean beyond sizzling plates!

Saturday Night Live is one of my favorite shows to date. Even if ETC plays old episodes of this, I still watch because I get to see Hollywood stars goof around and try to be funny for a night! I also love the talents that came out of this show. It’s like the That’s Entertainment of the U.S., and here are my top 5 SNL graduates/mainstays that I heart , heart!

Hahahahahahahahaha. This girl is freaking hilarious. I love on how she keeps a straight and serious face despite the humorous script that she is delivering. She really takes her craft seriously as she could morph into a ridiculous, liberated ( to her daughter ) cosmetically enhanced mom in Mean Girls, to a psychological torturer ( sister ), and skating pro in Blades of Glory! Her voice is also something so different that it cracks me up when she starts to become sarcastic!

Well, what can I say? I grew up idolizing Thalia. I was in grade school when Marimar, Thalia’s telenovela, took Manila by storm, as it started the Thalia craze, that aired more of her telenovelas such as Maria Mercedes and Maria la del Barrio which I also watched every episode of. I even recollected memories of news segments about mothers naming their children Marimar, or Thalia.

Now, GMA is doing a remake of the hit series Marimar, starring Marianne Rivera. To be honest, I’ve never, ever watched GMA teleseries, nor considered switching to the channel since I am a solid Kapamilya, and personally prefer teleseries that are from ABS-CBN. I don’t know, maybe GMA’s style just never appealed to me. But the revival of Marimar further piqued my curiosity, as I promised to watch it. Read the rest of this entry »

Apologies to my readers ( my good ‘ol friends ), and to my blog for being neglected over the past week for I have been busy with alot of things. I’ve been introduced to alot of things lately that I’ve been enjoying myself despite the bad weather that brings sickness to alot ( Grrr I hate the weather )

Well, here’s what kept me busy!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
My face was definitely buried in this book from Saturday evening to Monday evening. When Sarabeth arrived home with the much coveted book, I was able to start reading it after the TV series marathon that my sisters want to watch together, in full attendance (we are,a close knit family! Haha! ). Come Sunday, I was still reading it inside a Chinese accupuncture center while I watched over my mom’s procedure. Monday after work, and I’m still finishing it until I did. Gosh. I love this book! This has got to be the best book, and it was definitely action packed that just took me away ! Every penny was well spent for this book. I wonder how they’d turn this into a movie, it would really be quite challenging. A separate review will be made for this, I promise! I really do think that Harry Potter defines this generation. I can imagine myself being a grandma one day and telling my grandchildren about Harry Potter, with them getting bewildered, and excited to watch a “classic.” Haha! Read the rest of this entry »
