Two directions fighting, and only one will emerge as the winner.
The game goes on,
but did you notice
on how weary the middle part of the rope gets?

Battered in battle
Are you sure that it’s made of strong stuff?
Are you sure that the game will end with the rope still intact and whole?
Are you sure that it won’t break?

I’m not too sure myself.

making things happen,
trying to find meaning,

Grasping for words
to capture my emotions,
but it has always been a failure
as it never goes too strong enough
to merit a moment of thought.

Or was that I just didn’t want to stop and think
perhaps, afraid
of what I’ll be able to come up with.

So let the rush go on
let it excite me
let it tire me
I find solace in not finding meaning
for now.

Last night, I was trying to reminisce one of my favorite movies of all time, Clueless. Yes, for a girl like me, I just love girly stuff, and Alicia Silvertone being eternally young, and beautiful in that movie, makes me want to live forever. Or be forever young ( oh have I such obsession for youth and eternity! )

I remember Cher ( Silvertone ) having a protege named Tai ( may you rest in peace, gorgeous Brittany Murphy ) that she transformed from an unnoticed outcast into the life in the party – the ultimate “it” girl. I could not forget Cher scream, ” I’ve created a monster!” in her cutest voice. Well.

Sometimes in life, we get to achieve good things. Good things coming our way are great, as we promise ourselves not to let these good things happening get into our heads. But sometimes, along the way, it just happens. It creeps under our skin that we hardly notice it, and before we know it, we have come to be the person we detest – the person whom we’ve promised not to be like. Sometimes, upon awareness, we can go back to our own ways, but sometimes, it’s too late. Too much air has creeped into our insides that it’s impossible to deflate anymore. With that, to survive is to get more air.

At some point in your life, have you created a monster? How does it feel? Do you feel that sometimes, you should have taken back the help you extended that person?

At some point in your life, have you been a monster? How long did it take you to realize that? Or have you been too caught up with yourself that it is only you that matters, and no one else anymore? Do you think everyone who is against you is just envious of you?

Diagnose.

I have stumbled into a lot of nice quotes here, from this website, that I shall love reading everyday :

Have a healthy respect and love for yourself, but don’t be taken out by your ego.

It’s very easy for us to be humble when no one else is around. There is no reason for us to demonstrate our superiority, because no one challenges it.

People who are humble don’t talk too much; they listen.

Without humility you can’t love. Love means looking beyond the self to the other.

You stop growing when you stop listening.

The ego seeks fame and fortune. Humility doesn’t seek at all — it accepts.

You can be in a crowd full of friends and be miserable because you’re alienated. The ego alienates.

I’ve underestimated this state, and now that I’m in it, the euphoria just keeps pouring in.
Beams, and beams of sunlight pass through my entity, as if I’m not even there.
It’s not tangible, but I feel it.
Faith earned a word from me with you.
You are the living proof sent to me by the Gods that such emotions exist.
A miracle.
The loveliest surprise that makes me love my life just a little more.

Droplets of frustration, heartbreak, and cynicism are oceans away from my heart.

Right now, all I see is an endless sky of blue and yellow.

A burst of sunshine. Warmth in my soul.

I can’t help but smile thinking, as I know someone is smiling back.

Voices come in melodies, serenading tenderly.

I’m just in awe, living at this side of the world.

I promise, it’s worth every single breath I risked.

This week was full of contemplation for me, as I my head is swarmed with thoughts, and my heart is in a storm of confusion.

It gets dizzy.

I share with you my favorite quote from my favorite classic movie of all time, My Bestfriend’s Wedding.

“When you love someone, you say it. Or else, the moment just passes you by.”

I understand how wounds take time to heal. How fears are slow to subside. Everybody gets hurt. No one ever told me, or probably no one will say this, that getting hurt was a wonderful experience. All in all, it sucks. But then, what if wallowing in it causes you to go blind and just let another chance for a new beginning walk right past you?

I know, I’ve been talking nonstop about self preservation. But I never thought that thinking too much about oneself can be hurtful to people.

I can be on the other boat, as karma can hit right back at me.

Good Lord.
